Ron, a farmer, and Cindy, a teacher, met in 1980 and were married in 1983.  Cindy quit teaching to help Ron start farmers markets and raise their family.

Sons, Craig and Jarod Borba, both graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with degrees in Ag Business.  Craig in 2009 and Jarod in 2012.  Since then, they have been helping run the family business.  Together they have started Borba Brothers Farms, primarily growing squash and “Garden to Grill”, cooking fresh, farm-to-table food with family grown produce at Los Altos and Mountain View farmers markets.

Daughters, Alyssa and Julianne Borba, both graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2014 with Nutrition degrees and are now certified Registered Dietitians (RD’s).   They also help run the family business, selling produce at farmers markets and managing the farm’s organic certification and food safety programs.  They bake pies with family grown produce which are sold through the “Garden to Grill” stand.
